यदा संहरते चायं कूर्मोऽङ्गानीव सर्वशः । इन्द्रियाणीन्द्रियार्थेभ्यस्तस्य प्रज्ञा प्रतिष्ठिता ॥ 2-58 ||
English Transcription
Yadaa Sanharte Chaayam Koormongaaneeva Sarvashah | Indriyaaneendriyaarthebhyastasya ragyaa Pratishthitaa || 2-58 ||
Hindi Translation
Jis tarah kachua apne sabhi angon ko sabhi or se samet leta hai, aise hi jis kaal mein yah karmayogi indriyon ke vishayon se indriyon ko sab prakaar se hata leta hai, tab uski buddhi sthir ho jaati hai.
English Translation
Just like a tortoise draws in all its limbs, when a person withdraws all his senses from all the objects of senses, then his understanding is considered well-poised, well-read, well-understood, and well-behaved.
